the entire state building

To confront the world of extreme wealth and extreme poverty, i created this image of slum / favela (brazilian slum) built vertically as a show of confidence and power. However fragile these houses could look, the people living inside of them represent majority of inhabitants of many developing countries. The image represents 2D sketch for future 3D work.

bread music

The aim of this project is to plant a field of corn and play songs for it while it is growing, then harvest it and prepare small sandwiches. Some of the sandwiches will be distributed to the community in need and some of them will be used for headphones. These headphones will be hang on the walls of exhibition space and you can listen there the original music i recorded for the corn.
My idea for this work is to visualise the positive, (or in some cases negative energy) that was given into our food, to make people more aware of the farming process. I believe, as well we treat nature with care and love, as good fruits we will recieve. This idea was familiar to Native Americans, who used to sing to their corn plantations to obtain good harvest.

utopic unit

Can we concentrate our ecological footprint into condensed space, for example one boat? This utopic idea is represented by an image of boat filled with soil that is used to plant wheat, fruits and keep animals. If we will have control about the place and ways, how our food is planted, if we could approach the production of the goods close to our hose whenever we are, if we can manage to travel by ecological energy (wind...), we can really make difference for the state of our planet. I believe, that this difference needs to be done by every person, by its own iniciative and it can not be simply implemented by governments. This Utopic unit serves more as an illustration of that idea, rather abstract, than physical solution. My wish is to realize this work with help of wider comunity (in planting and construction)and it will be the common participation and sharing of knowledge, what will stay the lasting result of the work.

walking for water

I wish to question the real value of our comfort in the northern hemisphere. It is not the limousine, or villa, that i consider luxury. It is the fact, that in every moment of the day, we have an approach to clean, usually drinkable water, sanitation, electricity and heating. Imagine to spend every day more than an hour to walk through the countryside to get a fresh water for you and your family. As unreal it would be for us, this is a reality for many families in countries in development. I tried to create an installation, that allows people to imagine this situation through the physical experience. The installation consists from closed water circuit and 8 mm film projector. By throwing a bucket of water into the opening next to the projector you activate the electric circuit, that will start the projection of a man in africa, walking with the bucket of water through the landscape. The projection works just in the short moment of physical movement activated by water. It will take several buckets of water transported from point A to point B, to see whole film projection and to complete the story.

In this case a small garden and shelter is inserted inside of the van to create sustainable living for person in transit. The car will ideally use carbon free energy.
